The edgy, conceptual project WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO, produced by Yohji Yamamoto Co., Ltd., will release its fifth collaborative collection with Kié Einzelgänger on Saturday, September 20. The collection will be available on the WILDSIDE online platform, as well as at WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO OSAKA, WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO HARAJUKU, and Yohji Yamamoto Hankyu MEN’S TOKYO.

This ongoing collaboration between WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO and Kié Einzelgänger continues to evolve through repeated updates and refinements. This season introduces three shirt designs featuring the “suspender tie” as a signature detail—an element that merges Asian and European influences while balancing functionality with symbolic expression.

Designed around the theme of “shared experience,” the three shirts transcend cultural and gender boundaries. While suitable for all genders, each piece naturally adapts to the wearer’s body, proposing a new concept of “shared clothing.” Crafted from rayon fabric with a soft, fluid drape, the shirts allow for a variety of silhouettes through meticulously considered detailing.

In particular, the strap-adorned shirt offers transformative styling: when tied, it creates a feminine silhouette; when left loose, it takes on a more masculine expression. The design explores new possibilities of form, resulting in a piece that is both experimental and highly practical.
